Let’s invest in our children’s creativity again. Doing so will teach them to think critically and express themselves. This is a key aspect in developing mental health.
Teach the children how to play, create, and learn music.
Music creates movement and has always been a source of bringing us together.
The earth has rhythm and sounds – music allows for us to remain connected
Music has the power to inspire and teach
– We learn our abc’s and initial lessons through music
– Music has been a part of expression that inspires change (from human rights efforts to inspiring us to push on in any journey)
– Music is used in celebration
– Music creates memories
Let the children think through art
– Art allows us to tap into our creative spirit
– Art helps us to communicate our thoughts, visions and feelings
– Art can be physical structures and innovations, can be created on canvas, etc
As receivers – viewers of art, listeners of music – we can use the creativity of our minds to interpret, thereby connecting us. Maybe as we invest in our children’s creativity we will be inspired to invest in our own creative hobbies. Maybe we will enhance our Enjoyment of Life and improve our Quality of Life.
