One more News Story goes ‘behind the scenes’ of the information crews reporting the refugee story at the height of the European disaster. It usually takes the viewer to the other facet of the digicam and inspires us to re-consider our marriage with the global media and how we consume information. Shot throughout nine nations around the world from Greece to Germany, the film chronicles a journey beset by bodily deprivation and risk, bureaucratic and political road blocks and thousands of miles of uncertainty. As the refugees wind their way throughout Europe they are accompanied by a pack of fellow vacationers – reporters, camera-operators, producers and news vans. As he travels with the refugees, British director Orban Wallace turns the digital camera in a new path: the world’s 24-hour news gatherers in incredibly hot pursuit of the breaking tale. The movie was chosen at around 30 international festivals and nominated for best global documentary at the Grierson awards.
